A day of relaxation

Filed under: General — Craig @ 9:02 pm

A good friend told me last night that Sunday should be a day of relaxation.  I agreed, and took his word as law.

Today I slept in, ahhh sweet sleep, and I loved it.  Then proceeded to spend the rest of the day on the couch with the doona (duvet), Mark, and the cats, all curled up watching the television and dozing.

I only decided to get up, shower and dress around 5pm so we could go out for dinner as we’d not eaten all day.

Dinner’s been had.  We’re home again, and guess what?  That’s it, time for the pj’s again, and back on the couch.

All our favourite shows are starting up again, and tonight will commence with Desperate Housewives.

Have an ace night :)

Oh, and Brad.  At the time I wrote this, I still have no idea what the acronym BBR stands for.

  1. Ok, for the people out enjoying Craig’s blog, I will provide a bit of context into the BBR thing. As we were driving back from Sizzler in Tukwila, we saw a car with the sticker ‘BBR’. Anyway, we were trying to figure out what it meant, and I think I found the answer.

BBR is the short language code adopted by International Standards Organisation (ISO) for Girawa, a language spoken in Papua New Guinea. Take a look at:

    http://www.ethnologue.com/show_language.asp?code=bbr, and
    http://www.sil.org/iso639-3/documentation.asp?id=bbr

Given that Papua was once an Australian territory, this code is used in a place closer to home.

  2. Sounds like a nice day.

Perhaps the BBR was in reference to their favourite type of motorcross bike… BBR is bike brand. Founded and located in Auburn, WA 98001 which appears to be right near your home city. http://www.bbrmotorsports.com/

  3. Could be, only it was in the design of the stickers used internationally to designate the country of origin of the cars occupants. I bought one for our car to advertise our being Aussies. It’s a white sticker with a black circle (hollow) with AUS in the centre. Or in the case of the car last night; BBR.

One acronym that I found was Boy Boy Relationship – LOL! That could work too.

Mmm I need me a new motorbike, I had to sell my old one when we moved here :(

But fanx! You little investigator you :)

  4. Sundays used to be rest days. But then we had kids and felt like we should expose them to religion, so if they join a cult, they won’t blame us for never teaching them about God. So, now, I have to go to church on sundays and it shoots the day to shit.

(hmmm, this probably means I’m going to hell, doesn’t it.)

  5. Guess I’ll see you there! Religion as a deflection of responsibility for cult brainwashing. I love it!

I’m going to add that to my book of things Parents Must Know :)
