It’s been a day.
I was awake at 4am, no real reason other than I woke up far too early. Took the car in to be serviced at 7am, dropped Mark at the gym for an 8.30 training session, went back to the gym for my session at 9.30, had Physical Therapy, came home, had lunch and missed a call on my mobile phone.
Exciting huh?
The missed call. Some lady phoned to tell me she thinks she’s found Mulder. Now, in my heart I’m sure it’s his ashes that I have upstairs, but I still couldn’t help but wonder.
So I jumped in the car and drove to her house. He’s been gone 4 weeks on Sunday, she lives 2 miles away, it is possible. Highly unlikely given the evidence, but it’s possible.
When I got there though, there was no cat to be seen. The lady was positive it was him based on the poster and description. We both searched but there was no cat to be found. So as it stands, I still am of the mind that he’s no longer with us, but curiosity dictates that when the cat shows up again (she’ll take it into her house and phone me), I’ll go and check it out.
If it is him… Well he’s more than truly lived up to his name; Mulder (X-files). If it isn’t, well the strange black cat is an X-file all on it’s own.
Fortunately though, the day ended with dinner with a Mark and a friend of ours, a couple of drinks, followed by coffee and conversation, so all in all an enjoyable evening.
Yay for the weekend!
