Cold turkey

That’s what I’m doing today.  I made the choice, given my options of being completely pain (and senseless) free and dealing with some low level discomfort and chose the second option.
So today is my first day without painkillers post surgery, it’s not altogether awful, I can’t say it’s completely discomfort free, but I’m certainly not going to be spending much more time than what it takes or this paragraph off of the couch.

So sorry all, you’re going to have to wait.  I need a bex and a lie down.
