Sundays certainly seem to be the day we go to the movies, and that was the case again today. After a slight sleep in followed by brunch with friends, we came home for a little while, where I whipped out my handheld sander, which I purchased nearly 2 years ago, but hadn’t gotten around to using for the purpose for which I bought it, sanding the outdoor furniture.
This is a set that I had back in Australia. I used to sand and stain it regularly, and it was also kept undercover out of the elements. I can’t say that’s been the case in the 3 years we’ve been in America. Where it’s sat unsanded, unstained (well not reapplied) in all matter of weather from Summer to snowy Winter. It’s no surprise it’s looking a little worse for the wear. It’s going to look awesome when I’m done though. So there’s another project.
Getting back to it. After a spot of sanding we head off to the cinema to see a double feature. Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D. Those films haven’t lost any of their charm over the years, they’re still as entertaining and delightful as the day they were released, and now that we’re all refreshed in our memories of them, we’re prepared for the release of Toy Story 3 in the near future.
That’s about it from me, a full but relatively relaxing day.
Until tomorrow…
