Magic Beans

4 08 2010

Last week along with mowing the lawns, I replaced the inset pots in our decking, put in new soil, and this time around rather than growing a plant that’d die over Winter, I decided to use up some seeds that I’d bought on a whim.

This is going to be interesting, as between two pots, I’ve planted approximately sixty sunflower seeds all of which can grow up to 6-8 feet tall. At least they’ll be colourful and they’re annuals so dying over Winter is an expectation, not a shock.

I’m pretty sure that when I looked yesterday the pots were still empty, but today, they’re teaming with shoots, if they keep growing at this rate I could be in for a surprise. Perhaps next time I’ll plant beans… 😉
