Happy New Year!

31 12 2010

Well it’s finally New Years Eve here, and very shortly we’ll be heading out into the cold, cold night.  First stop will be Neighbours to see some friends perform, and from there, well I just don’t know yet, somewhere warm would be nice though.

So to all of you, Happy New Year!  I hope that 2011 brings you all much happiness, good health, and fortune to you and your families.

Time to get changed now and hit the road.

New Years Eve Nearly

30 12 2010

It’s not quite New Years Eve here in America, but it is back home in Australia, so I’m taking this opportunity to wish my friends and family back in Australia, and everyone else who’s celebrating this evening a very Happy New Year, and hope that 2011 brings you health, happiness and prosperity.

29 12 2010

My morning started with Pilates which stretched out all the kinks and cricks of the last three days of travel and adventure at Disneyland.

After that I napped, it wasn’t planned, my brain just figured I was stationary and shutdown for a while.  It’s definitely going to be an early night tonight.

Other than that, I woke up to it snowing, which is a far cry from the sun in California yesterday.  Since then it’s snowed off an on during the day, and there’s more snow expected overnight.

Can’t wait!

Disney’d Out

28 12 2010

Today saw us back at Disneyland for our third day.  I was there earlier than everyone else as I was at the park by 6am, queuing in the dark at the Security gates in order to get a prime position at the gates for the Magic Morning, when the park opens an hour earlier than usual.

Fortunately for me there’s a MacDonalds on the way to the park from the Hotel, so I popped in for a large latte to keep me company.

Good thing we got into the park early too.  It was another sell out day where people were actually being turned away.  The crowds were insane!

But, we still had an amazing time, we rode the rides, ate the food, saw the sites, and rode some more rides, before flying back to Seattle.

To say I’m tired would be an understatement, I’m exhausted.  My feet ache, my legs ache, but I had a blast.  The trip home was made more comfortable by our being able to upgrade to First Class for $50 each.

Mark slept, I napped, and had two Bloody Mary’s and unwound.

Now I’m home, showered, in my pj’s and unwinding for a moment before I head to bed shortly as I’ll be up early again tomorrow for Pilates.

Ok, that’ll do for now.  I’m off to bed.

My Word So Many People

27 12 2010

Disneyland sold out today at midday, and the crowds of people were testament to this.  It was a people crush everywhere we went.  So you can understand when I tell you that we limited our rides today, as the queuing times were heinous.  On average upwards of 90 minutes, and I didn’t come to Disneyland to ride the “Queue Ride”!

We did manage to ride California Screamin’, which just happens to be my favourite roller coaster, and we rode it twice.  So that satiated any ride desires I may have had.

The day itself ended with a lovely dinner and then Disney’s World of Colour, a fantastic laser, water and light display.

When we were at Disneyland last year this attraction was still being built, so it was pretty awesome to see the finished product.

However, we’re back at the Hotel now, and about to crawl into bed as tomorrow is a Magic Morning, and Magic Mornings start UBER early.  We need to be out at the park around 6-6.30am to take up position in the queues.

That part is not so magic… Winking smile

Disneyland Christmas

26 12 2010

Today was our first full day at Disneyland, and I’m so exhausted I can barely type.

I’m battling to keep my eyes open, my feet are aching, but, I had an absolutely amazing time.  There’s been rides, rescues (a ride broke down and we had to be rescued), food, more food, even more food, more rides, fireworks, and now it’s time for sleep.

Photos will follow, or for those of you that have me on Facebook, there’s some there already.

Nitey nite.

Up Up and Away on Christmas Day

25 12 2010

Merry Christmas to you all!

Hope Santa was good to you.

We spent Christmas in airports and on planes today, but as of this evening we’re in Anaheim at our hotel across the road from Disneyland.  Close enough that we could clearly see the fireworks when we arrived, and then walk over to have dinner at Downtown Disney, and pickup our park tickets for the next three days.

All of that over, I’m tuckered out and ready for bed.  The next three days are going to be HUGE! Smile

Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day

24 12 2010

It’s Christmas Eve here in America, and we’re getting ready to head out for festive drinks at a friends place, but right now, as I type this, my family back in Australia are sitting down to Christmas Lunch.

I’d love to be there, but fortunately for me, we had an early Christmas back in October when I was in the country, so I don’t feel like I’ve missed out too much.

A big Happy Christmas to you all if you’re celebrating now, and for those of you celebrating in the morning, I hope Santa brings you everything you wished for.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Goodnight. Smile

Two More Sleeps

23 12 2010

Then it’s Christmas Day and I’m boarding a plane for Anaheim, California and a few days at Disneyland!

I can’t wait!

But for those of you ahead of me time wise…   It’s Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day for you, and my family in the morning.

So, a great big Merry Christmas to you all, and hope you have an amazing day! Smile
